Utah Window Tinting Done Right

Tooele City Library Commercial Window Tinting

Tooele, Utah

See how Optimum Window Tint used V18 dark dual-reflective window film at the Tooele City Library to reduce glare and improve comfort throughout the building.

Full Description

arge windows are one of the defining architectural features of the Tooele City Library. The building uses expansive glass walls and tall window systems to bring natural daylight deep into the library, creating an open and inviting environment.

That amount of glass also created a significant challenge: glare.

Direct sunlight and excessive brightness can make libraries, offices, computer areas, reading spaces, and other commercial environments uncomfortable to use. For the Tooele City Library, glare reduction was the primary objective of the window film project.

Optimum Window Tint installed V18 dark dual-reflective window film on the selected glass throughout the building. The darker dual-reflective film significantly reduces the amount of visible light entering through the windows, helping soften intense sunlight before it reaches the library's interior.

Window Film for Large Commercial Glass

The project included several substantial window systems, including the tall architectural glass surrounding the library's main interior areas.

These large windows are an important part of the building's design, so the goal was not to eliminate natural light. Instead, the film provides greater control over the amount of sunlight entering the building.

By reducing excessive brightness, the film can make reading areas, workspaces, computer stations, and other parts of the library more comfortable throughout the day.

The film also provides additional solar-performance benefits, including reducing solar heat entering through the glass and helping block ultraviolet radiation that contributes to fading of books, flooring, furniture, displays, and other interior materials.

A Noticeable Change Without Replacing the Glass

One of the advantages of commercial window film is that existing glass can often be upgraded without replacing the complete window system.

At the Tooele City Library, the V18 film gives the exterior glass a darker, more uniform appearance while helping address the glare problems experienced inside.

For commercial buildings with extensive glass, professionally installed window film can be a practical way to improve interior comfort and solar control while keeping the existing architecture intact.

Optimum Window Tint provides commercial window film installation throughout Utah for libraries, offices, retail buildings, schools, government facilities, and other commercial properties.
